Picked up this little beauty at my favourite used furniture store.
The top was a mess and the glass in the removable tray was broken.
I decided to make this my first FAT piece.
I used "Buttercup" for the first coat. Buttercup is a beautiful soft yellow. I chose "Ocean Spray" for the second coat. Ocean Spray is an equally beautiful soft green. I wet sanded and waxed.
For the top I modge podged on several layers of wallpaper looking scrap book paper. I distressed the top in order to expose a few layers of the paper.
I have used homemade chalk paint and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. FAT paints up nicely, it covers well, just as the other two do. My only 'complaint' is that it is thick, to the point of too thick and I had to water it down. That's really not a complaint though is it. It sanded back beautifully with a damp rag. It is manufactured in British Columbia Canada.
